December 9, Dr. Tue Johannessen, Head of Maritime Application and Viability at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon talks about ammonia and maritime decarbonization.

About your speaker Tue Johannessen

Tue Johannessen holds a Ph.D. degree in Chem. Eng. from TU of Denmark and in 2005 he went from an Associate Professorship into an entrepreneurial role as co-founder and CTO of Amminex, a CleanTech company that commercialized a solid-ammonia system for diesel exhaust NOx reduction with live emissions monitoring system. This work led to receiving the EPO European Inventor Award for SMEs in 2016.

In 2019 he joined Future Solutions at A.P. Møller – Mærsk driven by the massive challenge of the industry-leading ambition of having a carbon-neutral fleet of globally operated container vessels by 2050.  

Tue recently changed jobs and is now Head of Maritime Application and Viability at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon.
